Keep on Trucking!

DATELINE: 8/18/07 The Washington Times

Mr. Bush plans to allow thousands of unsafe Mexican trucks to use America's superhighway system while generously allowing our trucks and drivers to traverse the moonscape of Mexico often frequented by bandits left over from the Villa era. Again Bush provides the long end of the stick to another banana republic while American workers get the shaft. The laughable bottom line to this farce is that our drivers will probably be hauling back the products from the factories and industries that Mr. Bush and Mr. Clinton presented to Mexico years ago. Ironic isn't it.

I am not surprised by Mr. Bush's conduct in this matter. He is the obedient servant of his patrons in Mexico City and has been since entering office. The big problem is with the American labor unions. Mr. Hoffa again seems to be all blow and no show. He rightly expresses his outrage at the prospects of illegal Mexican trucks hauling tons of illegal whatever to all parts of the country but he only talks. The Teamsters and other unions squawked when NAFTA reared its ugly head. They whined when their lack of effort in the BUY US program sent our textile industry to our friends further south. They sobbed when other industries headed south of the border. Hundreds of industries, thousands of industrial sites, and millions of American jobs have vanished while Union leaders collected fat paychecks and dined at the country club.

American labor unions could stop this plan in its tracks if it wanted. I wonder why is does nothing for the employees who pay its leaders salaries? Probably the same reason Bush does nothing for the people who pay his. Either bend over America....or stand up!

The Propaganda of Hate

DATELINE: ROCKVILLE, MD 8/1/07

Why is it that whenever Mr. Torres, of CASA, is questioned about his operations that the 'H' or 'R' word is used with such profusion. He finds fault with our Freedom of Information Act only when it is his information in question.

Recently the Help Save Maryland organization sought details as to the use of public funds dispersed to CASA with no strings attached. This, or any, group has an obligation to its constituents to find out how our tax dollars are spent and to make certain it is used to support legal operations. I hope that Mr. Torres would agree.

It does not surprise me that neither Big Ike Leggett nor his mouthpiece Mr. Lacefield cannot provide evidence of lawful activity and the proper use of my money by CASA or any organization that might come hat in hand for a public dole. If our County Executive cannot provide such answers then why do we have a county executive? Mr. Leggett, as his predecessor Doug Duncan, has put themselves above such things as accountability and credibility.

Mr. Leggett's perceived ignorance and Mr. Torres reaction would have me believe that our money has not been well spent. Is our money going to aid legal immigrants, as Mr. Torres claims, or did our dollars become a another payoff to unregistered agents of foreign governments?

Mr. Torres should by now understand that words like 'hate' and 'racists' are fast disappearing as a method of distraction. Words like these are used to hide the facts from public view. If Mr. Torres' books are in order then he has nothing to hide.

"Hail to the Chief"

DATELINE: WASHINGTON, D.C.
The jury will be out for several years as to the success or failure of Ms. Rhee as DC Chancellor, but to attack the bureaucracy in any metro school system is a plus in every parents book.

The layer upon layer of do-nothing bureaucrats has been based on nepotism and cronyism for decades and has made DC Schools a poster child for what never to do. Despite unbelievable sums of money the system performs far under what is needed to justify its existence to the community much less its service to the student body.

In the hunting community the old phrase applies. "Sometimes you get the bear and sometimes the bear gets you". Ms. Rhee must battle entrenched politicians who have rewarded constituents and friends with plum jobs in the school system. If she stands her ground and is supported by Mr. Fenty she will shake the halls of education not only in DC but in the surrounding jurisdictions as well. All of our systems are plagued by social engineers who have not a clue what to do. Until the teachers are again allowed to run the classrooms and the principals the schools we will have graduation not education. The end result is failure. If Mr. Fenty cuts and runs it will be a wasted effort for all.

Trust is a Many Splendored Thing

President Bush has come up with a new program to divert our attention from his inane 'amnesty' proposals for illegal aliens. When the President resorts to acts of desperation, such as doing what our citizens demand, it is embarrassing to the office and to the country.

After pushing one amnesty bill after another and rebuking the American people for their overwhelming opposition to illegal aliens, Mr. Bush now tries novel approach......doing what we told him to do years ago. He foolishly believes that his new antics will change the tide of opposition. No way, Jose! He even withdraws the National Guard from their posts along the Mexican Border while proposing this 'dramatic' new tact. There is nothing on God's green earth that Mr. Bush could propose or do at this point. The American people no longer have trust in their President. For too many years Mr. Bush has been a 'foreign president'. That will be his legacy.

NEA HITS A NEW LOW!

Recently the national leadership of the NEA, the National Endowment for Anarchy, gleefully told the world that its members overwhelmingly approved of our educational system accepting and educating illegal alien children. If you believe such a lie then I would like to sell you a ticket to the new Hanging Gardens of Babylon opening soon as a Disney Resort in Baghdad.

I have every reason to believe that the vast and overwhelmingly majority of educators in this country believe just the opposite. This is for certain yet you may never hear a complaint one from our dedicated teachers. Why you may ask? The answer is simple. For a teacher, say in The Republic of Montgomery County, to voice such an opinion would mean certain destruction of their career by the social engineers and County Administrators who sit like judges from the Spanish Inquisition ready to burn the heretics at the stake.

Twelve billion dollars of American taxpayer dollars is spent every year to educate illegal aliens in just the elementary and secondary levels. This is money that should be spent by any number of countries who have their own ongoing criminal enterprise to rip off the American taxpayer.

Montgomery County demands tens of millions of extra dollars each year for new school construction. Our County and City officials march in route step to approve such funds without a clue how it is being spent. Does this money go for Mr. Wheast $400 Italian Suits? Does it go to purchase additional white out so that illegal alien parents can white out the country of origins on their child's birth certificate prior to signing up for school in the Fall? Does it go to pay for unneeded portables or wasted on new buildings? Does it go to pay for two text for many students so that the poor darlings don't have to carry a book home? Can anyone prove that the book at home is ever used? How about we hold back those funds and spend them on the education of our legal immigrants and our Citizens?

The NEA is nothing more that a modern version of the Gestapo. Our teachers had best goose step to the right music or face life on the bread lines.
